Chick-fil-A to Celebrate ‘Cow Appreciation Day’ Before Closing

The restaurant will temporarily shut it doors for a remodel beginning July 13.

Chick-fil-A at Fowler Avenue is preparing for its last hurrah in its current building.

On Friday, July 12, the restaurant will celebrate the chain’s ninth annual “Cow Appreciation Day.” Customers who dress “head to hoof” in cow attire will be rewarded with a free meal. Those who dress partially in cow attire—donning a cow-spotted scarf, purse, tie, hat or other accessory—will receive a complimentary entrée.

Then, on July 13, the location will close while it remodels the entire restaurant. Plans call for the current building to be knocked down and replaced with a new 4,105-square-foot indoor restaurant.

The new restaurant will be located in the east portion of the property. It will have a two-lane drive-thru that will combine into one lane at the window area.

The vehicle entrance from Fowler Avenue will be removed, and motorists will only access the property from 53rd Street.

The remodel should be completed by the end of the year.

“We love being part of this great community,” said Carmen Fisher, marketing director for the Fowler Avenue Chick-fil-A. “We will certainly miss our guests.”

Fisher said the restaurant plans to continue to be active in Temple Terrace as much as possible during the remodel.

A flyer she provided encourages customers to follow the restaurant’s progress on the Chick-fil-A at Fowler Avenue Facebook page and on Twitter @cfafowlr. Customers can also get text updates by texting cfa978 to 411247.
