Viewfinder: National Night Out

The community gathered Tuesday evening to celebrate National Night Out, an event aimed at creating police-resident partnerships and let crooks know the city is fighting back against crime.

Officers with the put on demonstrations at the , and showed off an engine and some of their equipment. There was also a rock climbing wall, a bounce house, sand art and free giveaways from local businesses for families.

Neighborhoods were encouraged to host block parties, and Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler said four signed up to have police officers visit their celebrations.
