Chamber Presents Awards, Installs New Leadership

Phil Lentsch reflected on his tenure as the president of the , 2011-12.

The chamber hosted its 49th annual Awards and Installation Banquet Thursday evening at .

Lentsch said he would enjoy a little more free time, but he would miss leading the chamber, especially into its 50th year.

That job goes to incoming president Sara Leutzinger, who was recognized during the banquet and installed along with other new officers and directors.

among . The Ann Simmons Service Award went to Georgene Perlman. won the Bob Woodard Leadership Award, which is given for unusual, untiring and unselfish service to the chamber and the City of Temple Terrace only if there is someone who meets that criteria.

“It blew me away,” Long said of the moment his name was called as the recipient of the award. “I almost fell on the floor.”
