Annual Pickup Program Makes Spring Cleaning A Year-round Event
The Temple Terrace Sanitation Department's Annual Pickup allows residents to choose when they want to clean out their homes.
Those who have lived in Temple Terrace for several years may remember the days of the annual Spring Clean-Up, a week-long event in which curbs around town filled up with households items that residents no longer needed. It was the bargain hunter’s dream—the week that trash-to-treasure became a reality for some, as the City of Temple Terrace’s Sanitation Department offered to pick up nearly anything. In 2009, though, the Sanitation Department replaced the Spring Clean-Up with the year-round Annual Pickup. For residents, this means that pick up is no longer limited to one definite period.
