Waver, This has become the new normal for TT. Ridge Dale Road at Bullard Pkwy, on the SE corner,Read More has a building with the ugly back of the building facing street side. Drive up Bullard and there you see all the electric and boxes.....not the nice side....:-( I too am from the "Old Temple Terrace", the residents had input and we took much pride in our city~ Wonder what happen to the TT we knew & loved.....And when?
Sally Oakes Ballas June 18, 2013 at 08:55 pm
Oh Jamie, I understand now.... The Poll I ask The Patch to take. I'd just be interested to know ifRead More we need two BK's. Plus a McDonalds..:-). Must admit, that is a lot of burgers & fries for a city this size.
Temple Terrace Resident 2 June 18, 2013 at 09:29 pm
Am I missing something? The old Burger King on 56th Street is being torn down, the new one is beingRead More built further south. Where are Temple Terrace's two Burger Kings? The drawings for the new BK were actually pretty good, they were presented at the council meeting, I suggest everyone take a look at them before going off. Council discussed the location of the dumpster at length.

We both love Cafe Kili. They are nationally known. So happy for them. I am a coffee drinker! WeRead More just had a couple of new orders and big ones today. I grew up in a small business of Ice Cream and in a very small town. I like Temple Terrace. We hope it will continue to get better and better.

Wonder who the students were and which schools they came from.
Carol Dell May 22, 2013 at 12:26 pm
I thought the same thing...it would be nice to recognize the students, their acconplichments andRead More their schools in the Patch.
Ashley Reams (Editor) May 22, 2013 at 02:17 pm
After reading these comments, I asked the chamber for a list of the students. I've added theirRead More names, schools and accomplishments to the story.

Fresh fruit and protein - yummy! Sounds like the perfect follow-up to working in the newest TTRead More Community Garden effort. So a Temple Terrace business that sell out in yuppieville?! Am I missing something??
JS April 12, 2013 at 04:51 pm
This title of this article does a disservice to many of the fine establishments whose name appearsRead More within. I understand the premise but most readers will simply assume the businesses in the article have bad reviews, worse yet are all 1 star businesses. This distinction should be clarified in the article or the title changed.
Jamie Robe April 8, 2013 at 01:52 pm
never heard of this before, but I have been watching that location. Welcome and good luck on yourRead More opening. The pictures of the food look good.
David M. Long March 28, 2013 at 02:32 pm
Lauren has been a fantastic addition to the Chamber and our community. While she will be missedRead More greatly, we wish her all the best in her new endeavors.

Absolutely, bring Magpul to Florida! The TV comedians need MORE reasons to make fun of this state!
Tim Paul Teryse April 12, 2013 at 03:38 pm
For the record, Golden Corral is better.
JS April 12, 2013 at 04:46 pm
If you're interested in Golden Corrals record, or any establishment in Florida, visit the stateRead More inspection site. Golden Corral has not had a recorded inspection this year yet, but the last two were on complaints by customers. While the site does not clarify the complaint, usually someone got sick. It takes a lot for the state to close your restaurant down. it only takes a little filth to get you sick. Golden Corral has never been closed down, but when you read the inspection reports I'm not sure it would be my definition of better..... https://www.myfloridalicense.com/inspectionDates.asp?SID=&id=2761512

The worst I've heard was a Chinese restaurant here in T.T where raw chicken was stored in a 5 galRead More bucket sitting on the dirt in a makeshift pantry closet added on to the kitchen, not cooled, with dead lizards mixed in with the chicken.
Cathy Lawson May 1, 2013 at 03:03 am
Sounds good to me, but would restaurants lower the cost to consumers or just take more profit?
Charlesworth Longtooth III May 1, 2013 at 06:42 am
The basic profit structure for most restaurants dictates huge profits for alcohol, and they areRead More necessary for most to stay open. Wine from a keg would give owners more leeway for more deeply discounted specials the same way most do now with keg beer, such as 2 for 1 during happy hour or like Chili's and do it all day long. But one thing they probably will not do is offer 24 oz glasses of wine like some do with beer.
Michael D. May 1, 2013 at 12:52 pm
Charlesworth, It is huge profits for almost all drinks (except water). But with the buyer alreadyRead More conditioned at higher prices there is no incentive to lower them.
