I love that I'm LITERALLY within walking distance of various kinds of restaurants-from fast food to…Read More buffets to Carrabba's-and a grocery store, convenience stores, a gym, hair salon, and the library. Ok, the library's about a 30 minute walk, but that's good exercise on a beautiful day. Almost everything you could possibly need and you don't even have to start the car.

We are grateful to Ms Zook for bringing to our community's attention Cornerstone Ministries operated…Read More by Jim and Barbara Killeen in Ybor City. Her store, My Secret Boutique, accepts adult clothing donations for that homeless ministry (and also children's clothes for Everyday Blessings operated by Franciscan Sisters in Thonotosassa). We decided to take our clothing donations down ourselves just to meet the Killeens and it was a most informative experience. Their efforts seem to be providing some immediate basic assistance to the homeless while city and county governments try to begin to put some programs for homeless shelter in place.
