Waver, This has become the new normal for TT. Ridge Dale Road at Bullard Pkwy, on the SE corner,Read More has a building with the ugly back of the building facing street side. Drive up Bullard and there you see all the electric and boxes.....not the nice side....:-( I too am from the "Old Temple Terrace", the residents had input and we took much pride in our city~ Wonder what happen to the TT we knew & loved.....And when?

Oh Jamie, I understand now.... The Poll I ask The Patch to take. I'd just be interested to know ifRead More we need two BK's. Plus a McDonalds..:-). Must admit, that is a lot of burgers & fries for a city this size.

Am I missing something? The old Burger King on 56th Street is being torn down, the new one is beingRead More built further south. Where are Temple Terrace's two Burger Kings? The drawings for the new BK were actually pretty good, they were presented at the council meeting, I suggest everyone take a look at them before going off. Council discussed the location of the dumpster at length.

We both love Cafe Kili. They are nationally known. So happy for them. I am a coffee drinker! WeRead More just had a couple of new orders and big ones today. I grew up in a small business of Ice Cream and in a very small town. I like Temple Terrace. We hope it will continue to get better and better.
Kayakers enjoy the Hillsborough River in Temple Terrace.

Ashley, this is light-years ahead of the old site - very nice. No problems commenting. I evenRead More posted on the Boards about our new Pastor starting this Sunday at Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church. I do have a question - did all the old info about churches and stuff get dumped for good? I noticed I can't find the page about our church any more. Also, I did have to upload a new mini-me picture LOL. It looks like we are looking thru a some sort of rift in space-time :) You will have lots of cool things to play with on this new Patch. The banner photo is pretty! Of course, it would look even cooler with a floating bat house by those islands :)

I love this! We complain when our trash cans aren't put back where we want them or our lids areRead More missing. But we rarely take the time to thank these workers who really do have a dirty job.

I wish I had known about this in advance! The lemonade would be cold! The service we get from thisRead More hard workers deserves not only our appreciation but the recognition of a job well done. I constantly brag about my own "EIA" associates (sorry I didn't know their professional name until today) lovingly called "my guys". Service is prompt and courteous. I hope everyone takes a minute to say thanks (longer than that and we will throw them off schedule!)

Mark, I apologize for the misrepresentation. But at the same time you didn't address anything else.Read More All you address was a miss type. With a change of subject "learn to read". That's nice. It's a high school debate tactic, and doesn't change what was said. Which you didn't address, like where is your undeniable fact without any actual facts behind it.

Have crime rates been falling since the 1960s? I believe that's what I'm reading from many pro-gunRead More people, and they're saying this is a result of an armed society. At the same time I read the same pro-gun people talking about out-of-control crime, especially in Manatee County. I live in an armed household; don't think I'm agains the right to own a firearm. Just wondering if someone can address this contradiction.

Tim, The studies that are taking those statistics into account are not statistically orRead More scientifically viable. Crime per capitia has been falling, especially gun crime in the last 30 years is true. It has been verified by the major organizations in the nation, Bureau of Justice, FBI, etc... The fact that out of control crime is a buzz word that is used a lot on both sides of the issue. The statistics of the issues doesn't support either side. They use it whenever it is fit to their current argument, and as you can see a number of people change their argument accordingly when the it helps them. The number of mass shootings have been statistically the same over the last 30 years. Yes, 2012 has a higher than average year, but not a true statistical jump. People like to point to certain cities with gun legislation, and talk about their crime. The crime especially violent crime rate is still lower than it was 20 years ago in those cities. It also has stayed statistically the same since gun legislation went into place. So the only fact that is true is crime rate has dropped since the 1960s. There is no real reason behind that, because too many factors are apart of it.
