Tampa Police Department District 2

<p>District 2’s police officers serve 128,170 Tampa residents with uniformed officer patrols, Rapid Offender Control squads and property crimes detectives. The District 2 Patrol Division serves fifty square miles in northern Tampa, including Busch Gardens, the University of South Florida and the Tampa Palms and Hunters Green area. Officers work with civic and neighborhood watch associations to improve the quality of citizens’ lives.</p> <p>The District’s Latent Investigation Squad, a squad of detectives dressed in plain clothes, investigates robbery, auto theft, property and economic crimes. Part of the squad also conducts investigations on assaults.</p>
