Try Evening Dog Walks

Enjoy the neighborhood AND beat the heat!

There is no better way to lose some of those pounds put on during winter than a walk with your dog (or dogs).

My dogs definitely appreciate the opportunity to explore the neighborhood and burn off some extra energy. Since both of my dogs are of the Shiba Inu breed, they wear a thick double coat all year round. The heat of the day in Florida can be quite overbearing for them (and us). So, for our family, summer time means a return to evening dog walks, after the sun and temperature have gone down a bit.

We are so fortunate in Temple Terrace to have plenty of safe, quiet residential space no matter what time of day. My husband and I take full advantage of our great neighborhood to go for a walk with our fur-kids as often as possible. In early evening, it's a great opportunity to get a feel for your area of the neighborhood and get to know your neighbors (a connection so many communities lack these days).

Whether dog walking, gardening, or just relaxing on the porch, we hope to see you outside!
