The middle school was cleaned and organized over the summer, and sixth-graders enjoyed a special cookout.

From , principal of Greco Middle School:

This summer, several organizations came out to help beautify as we celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Special thanks to Luke Brothers Landscaping Service for donating more than 100 yards of mulch and Kurt Schaer, middle school youth pastor at Idlewild Baptist Church, for organizing more than 50 volunteers to help spread the mulch. Cypress Creek Landscaping and Home Depot also donated some mulch.

We also welcomed our sixth-graders on Aug. 6 for an early Back to School Celebration. More than 100 students and parents attended the day of fun.

Students met one another, played games and enjoyed a barbecue cookout. STEM and Pre-KAPS students stayed two days longer for a Boot Camp; they had the opportunity to meet their teachers, meet each other, play games and enjoy some pizza.
