Dorian Becomes 4th Named Storm of the Season

It might not be time to batten down the hatches just yet, but Temple Terrace area residents may want to keep their eyes on the weather as newly formed Tropical Storm Dorian makes its way across the Atlantic.

The storm was located about 410 miles west, southwest of the Cape Verde Islands Wednesday, July 24 and is moving in Florida’s general direction at the moment, according to a forecast track from the National Hurricane Center. With maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, the weather formation has officially become the fourth named storm of the 2013 Hurricane Season.
