Lighting Important in Photography

Photography. What's the difference between great photos and photography? A lot! 

With social media at the forefront for today's society, many of us find ourselves photographing just about anything and everything. After all, it's capturing the memorable moments in our lives and sharing them with others that we enjoy.

But why is it that some photos are outstanding while others are mediocre. Have you ever looked at two photos that were taken at the same time by two different people and one outranked the other by a large margin? In "photography" there are many elements to consider. The difference between a photo and an awesome photo can be attributed to the angle, composition, background and other aspects. But one of the most important is LIGHTING. 

Why do many families choose to have their family photos taken by a professional photographer or in a studio setting? LIGHTING! By being trained in the field of photography, photographers have a keen perception on how shadows are cast, how light is reflected, or even how the outdoor elements, such as the sun, can ultimately be seen in the final product--your photos!

So, while we all enjoy taking those awesome snapshots to share with our friends on Facebook, Twitter, email and the like, to obtain those incredible photos that you are looking to share with family and friends by displaying them on your living room wall, sending to grandparents and the like are often best when a professional photographer has been acquired.
