Video: Globetrotters to Perform at USF Sun Dome

The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the Sun Dome Saturday, and Globetrotter Special K visited kids at All Children's Hospital in St. Pete Wednesday.

Harlem Globetrotter Special K entered every hospital room at All Children's Hospital spinning his pink basketball on his finger.

"Wow," said 14-year-old Sami Steers of Wesley Chapel.

Special K performed tricks for Steers and other children Wednesday. He made spinning a basketball on his finger and head look easy, and that made children smile.

"When they see one of us, they light up, when they see us spinning the ball on the finger they just enjoy it, if I can put the ball on their finger, they love it," Special K said.

Special K and the Harlem Globetrotters will be performing at the USF Sun Dome on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m. and again at the Lakeland Center on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. For ticket information check out this website.

Special K, who towers at 6-feet-5-inches, also posed for family photos and signed autographs during his visit. He even performed tricks in the hallway, outside the doors of children who could not have visitors in their rooms.

"Sometimes I hear from the parents that they hadn't seen their kid smile since they had been in the hospital, when we get there and we leave they're smiling and that's very special," Special K said.
