Temple Terrace's 1st Ever Soggy Doggy Day is Jan. 12

Join the community for Soggy Doggy Day at the Family Recreation Complex.

The City of Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to bring your dog(s) to the pool for the first ever Soggy Doggy Day.

Join us at the Family Recreation Complex on Jan. 12, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for an exciting day of sun and fun for you and "man's best friend." Admission is $5 per dog.

This event is for dogs only, and those on two legs will not be permitted in the pool at the same time as our canine friends. We will have several contests including:

  • Owner/Dog Look-a-like;
  • Best Swim Suit;
  • Fastest Swimmer (25 yards);
  • Fastest Retriever; and
  • Best Swim Suit.

In addition, we are inviting interested vendors to participate in what we hope to be a new tradition in Temple Terrace. For questions or concerns, contact Scott Andrews at 813-506-6600 or sandrews@templeterrace.com.

this sounds like a great idea. except: "those on two legs will not be permitted in the pool at the same time as our canine friends". for me personally, there is NO WAY i would allow my dog to be in the pool without me at his side in the pool.
