When arriving at Publix, students were greeted by Principal , Assistant Principal Delilah Rabeiro, and several teachers. They were handed a sheet and clipboard, according to their grade level, that allowed them to solve different math problems using real groceries and price lists. After completion of their tasks, they received a prize at the opposite entrance of the store.

Teachers were there to help students throughout the way, as well as decorate their own sugar cookies in one of the aisles. The store was buzzing with more than 50 students and their parents.
