Graduation Dates Announced for King, Tampa Bay Tech

Both schools will play host to their ceremonies at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall, 4800 U.S. 301 N.

Graduation is just around the corner at high schools throughout Hillsborough County. To make sure families, friends and well-wishers mark their calendars for the big days, the school district has released information on ceremonies planned throughout the county.

Here’s a look at the graduation facts for both King and Tampa Bay Tech high schools:

King High School

Principal Michael Rowan will say goodbye to a 2012 graduating class of an anticipated 365 students on June 1 at 9:30 a.m. The commencement ceremony takes place at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. Rowan and several top students will give the speeches.

King Graduation Facts:

  • Valedictorians: Matthew Chan (traditional), Ravi Medikonda (IB)
  • Salutatorians: Tyler Weed (traditional), Ken Yu (IB)
  • Class President: Omoniyi Alimi

Tampa Bay Technical High School

Tampa Bay Tech’s Principal Warren Brooks will send off an estimated 468 graduates in the 2012 class on May 31 at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony takes place at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall.

  • Valedictorian, health academy: Roshni Patel
  • Valedictorian, architecture academy: Ruben Forero
  • Salutatorian, technical: Andrew Feliciano
  • Salutatorian, health academy: Deepal Patel
  • Salutatorian, architecture academy: Alejandro Pena
  • Class President: Jasmine Cross
