Tuition-free Vocational Training Program for students 18-22 yrs old with Special Diploma

Enrollment open for 18-22 year olds who graduated with a special diploma.  Pepin Transitional is a tuition free vocational school that provides job training and independent living skills for students with specific learning disabilities.

Our goal is to provide a successful transition from school to work for every student.

This program is provided at no cost to the student.

Pepin Transitional has partnered with several local businesses for on-site training. Students attending Transitional are placed at one of the following businesses in order to gain knowledge and career skills in an authentic work environment to practice real work training with ongoing support and supervision.

These businesses include The Law offices of Julianne Holt, Public Defender, Tampa Electric Company (TECO), Publix Supermarkets, Moffitt Cancer Center, CVS Pharmacy as well as on-campus training at Academy Kids Daycare Center, The Pepin Academies Culinary and Custodial Arts Programs. This fall we will be adding job-site training at the Tampa Police Department and Hillsborough County Offices.  In addition, students also attend academic classes in life management, social/personal skills, employability skills, career preparation and career education.

Career skills are taught in authentic work environments with our Tampa Bay Area business partnerships allowing our students to practice “real” work training with ongoing support and supervision. Students will learn skills related to their job-site, which includes: early childhood education  and certification, office skills training, culinary arts training, Publix Super Markets training, custodial training, customer service training and more.
