How Temple Terrace Became 6th in CNN’s ‘Where Homes Are Affordable’

Temple Terrace is the sixth best town for affordable homes in the United States.

That’s according to CNN Money Magazine, which has published a list of the 25 growing towns where residents see their incomes going the furthest. Read the whole story here: Where homes are affordable.

The story lists the median home price in Temple Terrace at $75,000 and the median family income at $56,963. It also has information about the uniqueness of the Amazing City, such as our love of trees and our Mediterranean-style homes.

Michael Dunn, city spokesman, is quoted in the story.

“A reporter from CNN Money called me, told me what he was working on, and asked a few questions about what Temple Terrace was like,” Dunn told Temple Terrace Patch. “He asked me to send him a few photos in case Temple Terrace was selected.”

CNN Money Magazine used actual sales collected from county and municipal assessors’ offices to create its list. It only included sales within city boundaries, and it only looked at cities where there were more than 100 home sales in 2012 and where job and population growth was increasing. No more than two places within a state, and no more than one place within a county could qualify.
