School Support Committee Seeks Applicants

Applicants must live in Temple Terrace and be able to meet at 5 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month at City Hall.

The Mayor and City Council of the City of Temple Terrace are accepting applications from citizens interested in being considered for appointment to the School Support Committee.

The School Support Committee was established to utilize the knowledge, interest and insight of citizens to work with the Mayor and City Council, the Hillsborough District schools, parents and school-based interest groups, to enhance the educational environment for Temple Terrace children and the schools they attend.

The School Support Committee meetings take place in the Conference Room behind the Council Chambers in at 5 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. Members must be residents of the City of Temple Terrace and serve without remuneration. Financial disclosure is not required.

Persons interested in being considered for appointment to the School Support Committee should contact the at 813-506-6440 for a Citizen Board Handbook and application. Applications must be returned to the City Clerk, 11250 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace, FL, 33617 by Dec. 2. Equal consideration will be given to persons submitting applications and persons recommended by members of the City Council.
