Redevelopment Subject of Special Workshop May 10

Mark your calendars or DVRs for the Temple Terrace City Council’s next meeting with Vlass Temple Terrace, the group .

The workshop will take place May 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the council workroom, which is located behind the Council Chambers at . The council is meeting as the Temple Terrace Redevelopment Agency.

They’ll review and discuss the goals and vision that led to Vlass becoming the developer of redevelopment project, according to the meeting agenda. They’ll also talk with the Vlass group about its vision for the next phase of redevelopment and compare it with the city’s vision.

According to Mike Dunn, the city’s public information officer, the meeting is taking place in the afternoon because many of the city’s elected officials will be attending a Planning Commission awards ceremony in the evening.

Residents who can attend will be able to watch the workshop on the plasma screen in the council chambers. Those who can’t attend will be able to watch the proceedings on Verizon Channel 39 and Bright House Channel 950.
