Election Day City Council Meeting Rescheduled

The Temple Terrace City Council meeting that would fall on Nov. 6 has been moved to Nov. 5.

The first Temple Terrace City Council meeting in November will take place Monday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. instead of Tuesday, Nov. 6 to accommodate Election Day.

City Council meetings traditionally take place on the first and third Tuesday of the month at City Hall at 6 p.m. However, when an election falls on the same day as a scheduled council meeting, the council meets a day earlier to allow residents plenty of time to get to the polls, said City Clerk Lisa Small in a City of Temple Terrace press release.

The City Council is scheduled to have its second November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., at which time the newly-elected mayor and council members will be sworn in, the release states. A reception to welcome the new officials will immediately follow the meeting and will take place at Public Works.
