Council Expected to Recognize Temple Terrace Photographer

Tom Allison of missingphotographs.com has donated an old photograph to the City of Temple Terrace.

Members of the know him as the man behind the camera, but on Tuesday evening, he’ll take the spotlight.

Tom Allison of missingphotographs.com is scheduled to be recognized by the Temple Terrace City Council for finding and donating an old photograph to the city. The image is an aerial shot of Temple Terrace that has been framed, said Mike Dunn, the city’s public information officer.

According to the City Council meeting agenda, council members will also:

  • Hear a presentation from the on a Trot Through the Terrace, a 5K, 10K and 1-mile fun run planned for November that will benefit the club;
  • Hear a presentation on proposed modifications to a rental housing program and consider adopting the amendments;
  • Consider three resolutions pertaining to municipal code enforcement citations, city streets and affordable housing initiatives;
  • Vote on two ordinances amending certain language regarding police officers’ benefits;
  • Vote on rezoning 7.5 acres of property located at 8811 N. 78th St. from Multi-Family Residential to Single Family Residential;
  • Proclaim “.”

Temple Terrace Mayor Joe Affronti is out of town, so City Councilman and Vice Mayor Ron Govin is expected to lead the meeting in Affronti’s absence.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at . It will be  live on Verizon channel 39 and Bright House channel 950 and rebroadcast on Mondays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m.
