The money will be spent on a membership in the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation.

The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation is hoping that the City of Temple Terrace will become part of their executive committee. The group was part of the reason that Morgan Stanley brought 180 jobs to Temple Terrace, according to TBO.com

Joining the group comes at a cost of $25,000 for an annual membership. On Tuesday, Feb. 19, Temple Terrace City Council voted unanimously to use $15,831 in reserve funding to pay a pro-rated membership for the remainder of 2013, according to the article.

“Mayor Frank Chillura will serve as the city's representative on the public-private partnership board, whose role it is to support economic growth and development in the Tampa metropolitan area,” the report states.
