The Temple Terrace City Council will discuss the 2012-13 budget with city officials in a workshop at 4:30 p.m. today (Sept. 4).
Then, council members will take public comment and an initial vote on the proposed budget and the tentative millage rate at their regular meeting at 6 p.m., according to the meeting agenda.

The tentative rate represents a 0.28 mill increase over the .
Under the tentative rate, a homeowner whose house is worth $100,000 would pay $643 in taxes.
The council is scheduled to discuss and take public comment on the proposed 2012-13 budget and millage rate again on Sept. 18 before giving final approval.
Also during tonight’s City Council meeting, council members are scheduled to:
- review a final site plan for Circle K Stores, 5602 E. Fowler Ave.;
- consider a resolution to approve the ballot language for the Nov. 6 municipal election;
- consider a resolution to approve a 35-year agreement between the City of Temple Terrace and the City of Tampa for wastewater sewer collection and treatment; and
- consider an update to the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
