City Council to Hear from Elementary Schools

City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

School presentations will continue at the Temple Terrace City Council meeting tonight with principals from , and elementary schools and discussing their programs and activities.

At the last council meeting, Nov. 8, middle and high school principals talked about their programs.

The goal of these presentations is to show the community what they have to offer.

According to the meeting agenda, the City Council is also expected to:

  • have three public hearings on the first readings of three ordinances that will change the zoning classification of four city properties from City Single-Family Residential to City Preservation. The properties include: 329 S. Riverhills Drive (Riverhills Park); 911 Bellemeade Ave. (Riverhills Park Addition/Scout Park); 6324 Temple Terrace Highway (Riverfront Preserve); and 1103 West River Drive. The public will be allowed to comment and ask questions.
  • hear a presentation on the voluntary annexation of an East Telecom Parkway extension right-of-way and have a first reading of an ordinance to voluntary annex about a 1.65-acre portion of land.
  • hear a presentation about a planned development modification concerning Countryway Townhomes.
  • consider five various resolutions.
  • make appointments to the Hillsborough County Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the River Watch Task Force.
