Innovative Approach to City Manager Interviews Could Save Thousands

Temple Terrace City Council has narrowed its list of candidates down to eight.

As Temple Terrace City Manager Kim Leinbach retires on March 29, City Council will need to find a replacement. The search for that replacement is getting more serious, according to an article on TBO.com.

According to the article, Temple Terrace Mayor Frank Chillura and City Council members took a list of 36 candidates and picked 8 semi-finalists for the job.

"We are going to try to be aggressive," City Councilman Bob Boss told TBO.com.

The city plans to interview candiates online via Skype, the article says. Using the online tool could save thousands of dollars in travel expenses and allow the council to interview candidates from all over the country.
