Today (May 19) marks 100 days before the , and elephants at celebrated their status as a political party symbol earlier this week.
The park’s elephant team added some colorful enrichment to the elephants’ day by making “elephant footprints” with non-toxic children’s poster paint at the new Elephant Interaction Wall. The unique prints will be framed and shared with special guests and members of the media who visit Busch Gardens during the RNC.
As one of the largest zoos in North America, Busch Gardens offers its more than 2,000 animals enrichment that is different, unusual and challenging. Food, toys and other interactions are used daily by zookeepers to keep the animals engaged and stimulated, both mentally and physically.
The RNC takes place Aug. 27-30.
