have caught the man they believe is responsible for an and other burglaries, according to a media release.
Duane Armstrong, 34, has been charged with burglary, grand theft and petit theft. He was arrested Thursday at his home at 8502 15th St.
According to Tampa Police, Armstrong is responsible for the burglary at 11206 N. 51st St. as well as other residential burglaries on April 12 at 2120 West Skagway and April 17 at 1718 West Grace St. Police said Armstrong’s vehicle, a dark-colored Nissan Altima, matched the one captured in several surveillance videos at the scenes of residential burglaries throughout Tampa. The Police Department said Armstrong was also identified via fingerprints.
According to the release, police said they found several items in Armstrong’s home that had been reported stolen, including a gun, unusual jewelry, computers, iPods and foreign money.
According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrest records, Armstrong is currently in jail and no bond has been set.
