Police Reclassify Sandra Prince Case to Murder Investigation

Temple Terrace police have reclassified the case of Sandra Prince to a murder investigation and are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Prince’s murder.

Previously, the case was classified as an investigation of a missing person.

Temple Terrace Police Chief Ken Albano made the announcement Thursday morning at a news conference at City Hall.

Police have been investigating Prince’s disappearance since she was reported missing on Jan. 3, 2006. Police found Prince’s blood in her car, which was parked in her garage. Her boyfriend of five years, Earl Pippin III, became a person of interest. Pippin was building a house in South Tampa, and police searched the property to look for Prince’s remains. They found nothing.

Now, police said they’re hoping the reward will encourage someone with information to step forward.

“No one, absolutely no one, should possess the power to simply snuff out another’s life with total impunity for their actions,” Albano said.
