New Facebook Push Planned By Temple Terrace Police

The departement is hoping to reach more of the community by posting more information online.

The Temple Terrace Police Department is hoping that a new focus on social media will help them prevent crime in the city.

Starting on Monday, Feb. 18, the police department will begin posting information about community events, public safety and local crime on their Facebook page. Many other local law enforcement agencies use social media to help spread information.

"Police-community partnerships are the backbone of crime prevention in any community," the department wrote in a press release about the new initiative.
