King Teacher Charged with Sexual Battery on Student

He stands accused of having relations with a 17-year-old girl. Meetings are said to have taken place in a vacant classroom on the campus.

A King High School teacher has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents began around March 17 and continued through July 12. Teacher Jeffrey Halle Jr. , 32, supervised an afterschool program the teen was enrolled in. During this time period, “Mr. Halle and the victim made arrangements during normal school hours to meet in the vacant classroom during the after school program,” a sheriff’s office media release said.

Halle is also accused of making arrangements via text on July 10 to meet the girl at her home to engage in sexual intercourse, the release said.

“When Halle arrived to pick up the victim, Halle was confronted by the victim's father and Halle left the residence,” the release said.

The sheriff’s office was then notified and an investigation was launched.

Halle of Plant City was arrested today, July 16, and charged with sexual battery familiar, traveling to meet a minor after using a computer and using computer services/devices to solicit. He is being held without bond, according to jail records.
