King Shooting Plot Targeted 1 Student, Deputies Say

Authorities now believe the shooting would have taken place off campus.

As theat King High School continues, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are now saying the teens may have been targeting a single student.

According to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Debbie Carter, the three teenage boys are not cooperating with the investigation. Even so, it is now believed “that the shooting was not to take place at the school, but that one individual that attends King High School was the intended target,” Carter wrote in a media release.

The shooting, she said, was to take place off campus.
