Duplex Fire Displaces Four

The fire broke out Tuesday night at a home on Davis Road.

Four people have been displaced after a fire broke out Tuesday night at a Davis Road duplex.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to the structure fire at 10400 Davis Road Tuesday around 8 p.m., according to a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue report.

A man inside the residence that was damaged by the fire was able to get out before rescue units arrived, the report states. Three adults that were inside the attached unit were also able to escape.

There were no injuries.

“Crews quickly deployed their water hoses, entered the structure and battled the flames from all directions,” the report states. “It took fire rescue crews 20 minutes to extinguish the fire.”

The fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross is assisting the four people displaced by providing food, shelter and clothing, according to the report.
