Bullets Found on Greco Bus

This is the second time in two days bullets have been found on a Hillsborough County School bus.

A student riding on a bus to Greco Middle School in Temple Terrace this morning came across something that has law enforcement authorities taking notice.

The eighth-grader discovered two bullets on the bus floor and turned them over to the bus driver. Students on the bus were held for questioning by school security and the Temple Terrace Police Department, a media release from the Hillsborough County school district said.

“Police officers removed them one-by-one to question and search their backpacks,” the release stated. ”No weapon and no additional bullets were found.”

Since the bus also serves Freedom High School, the Tampa Police Department is now questioning and searching students on that campus, as well.

The school is in lockdown while the search continues, the district release said.

A bullet was also found on a bus yesterday that served students from Turner Elementary, Liberty Middle and Wharton High. A Wharton student later told officials he found the bullet in his apartment complex and it fell out of his pocket.

All Hillsborough County schools are on modified lockdown this week in response to the shootings in Newtown, Conn., district officials have said.

Please everyone, take a few minutes and let your elected officials know that guns are a problem in our society and we want a sensible fix. If you agree or disagree with me, better to spend your time sending your thoughts to the officials. I persoanlly think this is beyond debate, so you won't convert me with replies.
