ATM Robber At Large

Tampa Police detectives are searching for a man they say committed two robberies at an ATM on Fowler Avenue.

The Tampa Police Department is searching for a man who they say committed two different robberies at the same Bank of America ATM located at 1720 E. Fowler Avenue.

Dwayne Jenkins, 22, of Tampa, was the first person the man robbed, police said. The robbery took place Nov. 24 at 9:43 p.m.

Husain Baaquel, 25, of Tampa, was the second victim, police said. The robbery took place Nov. 27 at 7:40 p.m.

“In both robberies, the suspect arrived on a silver small mountain type bicycle and approached the victims from behind as they were withdrawing cash from ATMs,” police said in a press release. “In both cases, he implied he had a gun and demanded the victims withdraw money, then took their keys and cell phones. In both cases, the suspect fled east on Fowler Avenue.”
