4 Arrested in Cocaine Trafficking Bust
The men are accused of trying to buy a kilo from undercover officers.
A two-week undercover drug investigation in north Tampa ended yesterday afternoon with the arrest of four men from out of town.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office media release, the county’s Major Violators Unit teamed up with the Tampa Police Department for the investigation that led to the arrest of four men. The men were arrested at 12:30 p.m. yesterday outside the at 1727 Busch Blvd., said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Debbie Carter.

The foursome stands accused of trying to purchase a kilogram of cocaine for $34,000, the press release said. All four men are from outside of the Tampa Bay area.
“The suspects, Reynaldo Garcia, Eric McGill, Elijah Banks and Thomas Snell were all charged with conspiracy to traffic in cocaine over 400 grams,” Carter wrote in the media release. “Suspects Banks and McGill, both being convicted felons, brought a 9 mm pistol to the scene and were also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”

Law enforcement seized a Ford Expedition, a Chrysler van and $34,000.00 cash.
Snell, 37, is from Lauderdale Lakes. McGill, 50, is from Palm Coast. Banks, 41, lives in East Palatka. Garcia, 39, is of Brooksville.
