$1,000 Reward Offered in Harney Road Shooting Case

Information is needed to help find the suspects in the March 31 shooting death of Jarrett Eitson.

It’s been nearly two weeks since a 21-year-old man was shot to death outside a bar on 56th Street and Harney Road, but no arrests have been made in the case.

That’s why Crimes Stoppers of Tampa Bay is stepping in to up the stakes. It’s offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest of the suspects in the March 31 death of 21-year-old Jarrett Eitson of Sable Park.

The shooting took place just after midnight March 31.

According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office media release, Eitson and two friends were leaving a bar in the area of 56th Street and Harney Road when the crime occurred. The three were walking back to their vehicle when they were approached by two armed men who attempted to rob them.

During the robbery attempt, Eitson was shot and died at the scene, the release said. The two other victims were uninjured.

Little information about the suspects is available other than they were driving a black or dark blue sedan with dark tinted windows. Deputies believe the sedan is a late 90s or early 2000s model. Deputies are looking for two black males in their late teens to early 20s in connection with the case.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS(8477). Information can also be reported anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com, texted to 274637 (just enter "CSTB plus your tip") or sent via mobile device using the "Tipsubmit Mobile" application.
