Community Corner

Annual TT Arts Festival

This has been a wonderful event in TT for 40 years and have been in attendance to many of them.  My comment is, as nice as Riverhills Park is, this event is not handicap accessible.  For those in wheelchairs, use walkers, and some older individuals have problems getting around due to the tree trunks pushing out of the ground.  Yes, they are marked with paint but there are so many of them you can't miss them all.  It is difficult for some who do not have disabilities and believe this location should be changed to a friendly environment.  Since the downtown development property is vacant, why not hold this event there?  I personally have not attended in a few years due to this issue as I can not bring some of my family members as they are in wheelchairs and very hard to get around.  Just a thought, to get a location more handicap accessible.  The Women's Club does a wonderful job and would love to attend again.
