LIVESTRONG Open House at Moffitt Cancer Center

The Moffitt Cancer Center has teamed up with the Lance Armstrong Foundation to celebrate LIVESTRONG Day.

LIVESTRONG Day is a nationwide event to unite people affected by cancer.

The foundation has partnered with  New Tampa Family YMCA to develop a Cancer Survivor Wellness group. The program is dedicated to support people affected by cancer and to help them reach their health and well-being goals. The YMCA will have representatives speak with patients and families about the group inside the Patient Library at 10 a.m.

Fresh fruit will be available. Stop by to receive a Lance Armstrong wristband and cancer survivorship information. Multilingual educational resources and displays will be available, and there will be special tributes for courageous cancer survivors. Patients, family members and staff will also be able to capture a memory with a loved one in the FOTOS-R-FUN photo booth and take a photo strip home as a souvenir.

Everyone with a stake in the battle against cancer is encouraged to attend.
