Sea Shepherd Film Showing: Galapagos
This 33 minute film
explores Sea Shepherd's involvement in the Galapagos Islands, and
reveals how shark finning is a major threat to the shark population
there. Sea Shepherd assisted local law enforcement in combating the
poaching problem by creating a marine patrol program, spearheading
public education, as well as assisting in the development of a wildlife
contraband dog program.
An on-shore volunteer from Sea Shepherd Conservation Society will be
on site to answer questions after the film and to provide further
information on Sea Shepherd and how to protect the oceans. Though this
film is not rated, it is intended for mature audiences.
