Florida College presents: The Importance of Being Earnest

Every fall, Florida College’s local booster club seeks to raise scholarship money through an annual alumni play. This year’s production, The Importance of Being Earnest, will take place August 28–30 at 7:30 each evening, and tells the story of two gentlemen who share a common secret: they use fake identities to excuse social indiscretions. But when their fiancées meet, and think they’re engaged to the same man, things take a turn for the hilarious. Audiences will certainly enjoy the unique humor of turn-of-the-century England—it is, after all, “a trivial comedy for serious people.”

For tickets and showtime information, visit floridacollege.edu/earnest or email tickets@floridacollege.edu

To promote the show to our community, the cast would love to perform a short scene for any clubs or functions in the area during the month of August. The very humorous teaser would be 5 minutes or less and we would leave information cards for pick up (if desired).
