Update: Water Restored to Homes Affected by Main Break

North Riverhills Drive is expected to reopen by 5 p.m.

Water is back up and running for the few homes that were affected by a Friday morning.

The break, which occurred on North Riverhills Drive due to unknown causes, closed the street in both directions between Druid Hills Road and Bannockburn Avenue. A press release issued by the City of Temple Terrace Friday morning stated that three or four homes were left without water while workers examined the extent of the problem.

According to Mike Darrow, deputy director of Public Works’ Water and Sewer Division, the break has been repaired and workers are in the process of filling in a hole they created in the roadway to access the pipeline. He said the road should reopen by 5 p.m.
