Your Vote Will Decide Your School Board Rep and More!
Early voting begins July 30th and the primaries will be held on August 14th, but this election is not just a primary. Many races will be decided, including the one for School Board Representative for District 3, which includes parts of Temple Terrace.
"I think many people might not realize that the elections are coming so early this year, or that this is just a primary, but the coming election will be an important one for Temple Terrace residents," said Cindy Stuart, candidate for Hillsborough County School Board District 3. "This is the first time in nearly 10 years that residents will have a choice for who they want to be their representative on the school board.
"I decided to run for School Board because I think our community wants fresh faces, board members that will challenge the District administration to do what is right for our children's future," Stuart said. "It is time for something new and different, I accept and welcome that challenge, and look forward to bringing leadership and direction to the job!"
Recognized as “a true partner in education,” Stuart has worked tirelessly to improve the education system in Hillsborough County for the past seven years.
“There are so many critical issues coming up in our school system that Carrollwood and North Tampa residents deserve someone who knows what’s going on, who lives in their community, and who cares about the quality of our children’s education going forward” Stuart said.
“There’s a famous quote that ‘if you don’t vote, someone else’s vote counts more,’ and in this coming election that will be more true than ever before.”
