Residents Rally for USF

Temple Terrace citizens protested to support the University of South Florida Tuesday afternoon.

Temple Terrace residents gathered at the corner of Fletcher Avenue and 56th Street Tuesday afternoon to show their support for the University of South Florida, which could lose $103 million in funding from the state.

The rally was organized by Phil Lentsch, president of the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce.

Protesters wore green and gold and waved signs, flags and foam fingers. Passing motorists honked their car horns to show their support.
