The Chick-fil-A cow waved to passersby as Carmen Fisher, marketing director for , handed out pamphlets on the fast food restaurant's catering options.
It was the third year that Chick-fil-A had participated in the annual , but it was the first year that the chain wasn't handing out food samples.
Up until this year, the expo was combined with the Taste of the Terrace, in which food vendors gave away free fare. However, the chamber made the 23rd annual Business Expo and the Taste of the Terrace two separate events this year. The Taste has not yet been scheduled.
Fisher said Chick-fil-A welcomed the change.
"It gives us an opportunity to showcase something other than our food," she said.
The expo took place March 13 at The Galleria at USF Research Park, a smaller venue than previous locations, such as the USF Sun Dome or the .
Over at the table, Fadi Kayali and Lindsey Tucker said they were enjoying the business-to-business atmosphere, handing out business cards and meeting new people.
Phil Lentsch, president of the chamber, said the event was going "fantastic."
"It's more business professional," he said. "That's what we're looking for. I think our vendors are happy."
