The theme for the April meeting will be Easter dress – Spring clothes, and decorations will also be in an Easter mode.
The business meeting begins at 12 noon. This is followed by a buffet lunch and then entertainment.
Entertainment will be “Granny”. She will perform as an Appalachian mountain woman. The performance is built around introducing people to the mountain dulcimer, an obscure but beautiful sounding American instrument. She will trace the music of the Scot-Irish in the mountains. She was introduced to the mountain dulcimer at an Elderhostel. She had never seen or heard of the dulcimer before that now had she ever played a musical instrument. She became fascinated with this instrument and has been playing for 5 years. The performance is 35 minutes of music and stories and 10 minutes for questions and answers.

The deadline for paying dues is April 15. Reservations are open to all women but always necessary and can be made by calling Janet Pangborn.
