International Tiger Day is July 29 and Busch Gardens is marking the occasion with special events now through Monday. Stop by the park to check out the celebration and see the new Malayan cubs – Cinta, Bundar and  Rukayah -- in action.

Christmas In July?

Yes. Tampa seniors are ready for "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" at the University Area Community Development Center gym at 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, Friday, July 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

This free event features a McDonald's lunch with a special ice cream sundae, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, educational resource information and entertainment by Jeremy "Elvis" Ewbank and Kathy McGuire.

Read A Good Book Lately?

If you've read the book "Love in the Ruins" by Walker Percy, stop by the Temple Terrace Public Library, 202 Bullard Parkway, Temple Terrace, Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. for a discussion on the book. 

Take A Break From The Kids

Treat your kids age 5 and up and yourselves to a fun night out. Let the Museum of Science & Industry's Education Department staff care for and entertain your children with Minecraft and other age-appropriate video games, museum treasure hunts, creative play and more Friday, July 26 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Check Out This New Gaming Phenomenon

Kids are invited to experience the gaming phenomenon of Minecraft at the Museum of Science & Industry Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 6 p.m. Make friends, discover new secrets and tricks and learn how to create custom gaming mods, make hilarious movies, learn programming and more. The fee is $20 or $15 for MOSI members. Call 813-987-6000 to register.

Sing Your Heart Out

Shamrock's Ale House, 7805 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace, hosts karaoke every Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Art For Art's Sake

Local and regional artists will exhibit their work and demonstrate their techniques Saturday, July 27 starting at 10 a.m. at Silver Linings, 10931 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace.
