Temple Terrace Nature Photos

Our city is so scenic and full of wildlife. Capture that beauty in photos and send them to Temple Terrace Patch.

About a week and a half ago, I asked readers what they like best about living in Temple Terrace on Facebook. Commenters said they like the Hillsborough River, the city’s convenient location, city services, local organizations, oak trees, architecture, small-town feel and history.

I’ve only lived in Temple Terrace for a year, but that’s long enough for me to know and agree with all of these things. My absolute favorite thing about living here though is the Hillsborough River, especially at Riverhills Park where the is taking place this weekend.

My job is mobile, which means I have the flexibility to work anywhere I’d like. I usually stay at home or go to local coffee shops, but sometimes I take my laptop to Riverhills Park, sit at a picnic table, and watch the river and nature as I type stories and upload photos.

That’s what I was doing recently when I took these photos. We are so lucky to live in an area abundant with wildlife, which makes for great nature shots.

I’d like to post one nature photo every Sunday from someone in the community. If you’ve taken beautiful pictures of wildlife in Temple Terrace or you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to start, this is your chance to have your nature photos published online for the community to enjoy. Please email your pictures of Temple Terrace nature to ashley.reams@patch.com. I look forward to seeing them.
