Rabbit Munches on Lawns

Each Sunday, we'll post a photo of Temple Terrace nature from someone in the community as our Sunday Nature Photo.

This week's Sunday Nature Photo is from Julie Ford, who lives on the corner of Berwick Avenue and West River Drive.

"There is a gray rabbit who can be seen munching on lawns in the early mornings and evenings," she said. "He's been sighted on Broxburn (Avenue) also.

Do you have a local nature photo you’d like to share? Email it to ashley.reams@patch.com and it could be featured on a future Sunday.

Thanks, Temple Terrace! (And Julie Ford) I can always count on you to put a smile on my face on Sunday morning. Can't wait to see next week's shots!

This was emailed from a reader in Wisconsin:
The rabbit in the "nature photo" is not a wild rabbit, but a domestic breed who appears to have been abandoned. S/he needs to be rescued and adopted into an appropriate permanent home. Domesticated rabbits are not wild animals; they are wonderful pets who WILL NOT survive in the wild, even in Florida. Nancy in Wisconsin
