Preservation Society to Learn More About Island of Roatan

Ever heard of Roatan?

You can find out more about this historic island off the north coast of Honduras when the Temple Terrace Preservation Society welcomes archeologist Dr. Christian Wells at its Thursday, May 2 meeting.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at Temple Terrace Community Church's parish hall, 210 Inverness Ave., Temple Terrace.

Wells has been excavating sites on the island to uncover its true history and whether the ancient Maya ever lived there.
